Adding to the problem, the uconnect system functions on the outdated 3G network, which is no longer in service as of 2023, rendering the system useless. This means no Apple CarPlay, no Android Auto, and no way to connect even by using the USB ports. I mention this in hopes of assisting others like me who bought a used vehicle and were expecting the system to function correctly.

Nope, CarPlay wasn't included in any Jeep model until 2017. Uconnect and CarPlay are actually different features, not the same.
