In 2017, the Honda Accord comes equipped with Honda LaneWatch blind spot detection as standard across most trims, excluding the LX, Sport, and Sport SE models. This feature uses a camera on the passenger side mirror to project the right-side blind spot onto the infotainment display screen, measuring 7.7 inches. It activates automatically with the right turn signal and disables navigation and radio controls for safety. The system can be deactivated with a button on the turn signal lever, but it's important to ensure your mirrors are correctly positioned for monitoring surrounding traffic on both sides as the camera only covers the right side.

The Accord is equipped with numerous safety features. If you opt for the EX, EX-L V6, or Touring model, it includes Honda Lane Watch as a standard feature. This system offers blind spot detection but focuses only on the passenger side of the vehicle. It activates when the driver signals to the right. Hence, if you tend to neglect using turn signals, this feature may not be very useful for you.
