If the USB port in your Buick Encore isn't working, there are a few possible reasons for this issue. Firstly, you should check the fuse box located in the passenger compartment. Take off the panel cover and remove the fuse connected to the USB port to inspect it under a light to see if the filament inside is blown or intact. If it is blown, make sure to replace it with a fuse that has the same amperage rating as the original one. If the fuse is fine, there could be a damaged wire between the head unit and the port, or the electrical connector might be loose or have a damaged pin. To confirm this, you'll need to remove the plastic trim and panels to access the backside of the port for further inspection.
Geez, could you please tell us where the fuse is and which one to look for? We appreciate the response, but it would be more helpful if you could provide specific information rather than just stating the obvious and assuming we already knew to check the fuse. It feels like you could do more to assist, so I'll have to rate you negatively with 5 stars.
Make sure it's not the fuse because if you have to get it fixed at the dealership, it will cost you approximately $400. I own a 2018 Encore and the USB ports stopped working. I took it in while it was still under warranty, but they said that this specific part wasn't included in the coverage. My wife mentioned it would be $372 plus tax. I can't help but feel disappointed by this situation. Why wouldn't my warranty cover problems with the computer?
Troubleshooting problems with the USB port in a Buick Encore may be due to a blown fuse or unsecured connections.
