On the Ford F-250, the fuel filter is integrated with the fuel pump system. Usually, the fuel pump is located underneath the vehicle, connected to the fuel rail. Accessing the filter is relatively straightforward, as it is secured in place by a couple of bolts that are easy to remove. The cost of replacing the fuel filter can range from $200 to $800 on average. In some instances, both the filter and pump are contained within the gas tank. If this is the situation, you would need to replace the entire gas tank to address the pump, but there is an external access point for installing a new filter. The prices for this alternative option are roughly similar, possibly slightly higher than just replacing the pump alone.

Removing the fuel tank may not be ideal, but since the vehicle has a body-on-frame construction, it could be easier to unbolt and get some friends to help lift the bed off to reach the fuel pump.
