Here is a paraphrased and simplified version of the instructions for installing Michelin wiper blades on a Ford Escape: To replace the wiper blades on a Ford Escape with Michelin ones, follow these steps: 1. First, turn the vehicle key to the on position with the engine off and turn on the wipers. 2. Turn off the ignition when the wiper blades are in a vertical position on the windshield for easier access. 3. Gently pull the wiper arms away from the windshield until they lock into place. This way, you won't have to hold them. 4. Start with the driver's side wiper arm. Turn the blade at an angle and squeeze the lock pin/tab on the bottom of the arm to release the old wiper blade. You can use needle-nose pliers if needed. 5. Slide the old blade out from the arm. 6. Attach the new wiper blade by sliding it into the channel on the wiper arm. Push it into place by pulling the tab through the bottom of the arm until it clicks. 7. Repeat the same steps for the passenger-side wiper blade.

The wiper arm on the 2018 Escape is not the usual hook style. The Michelin Guardian wiper blades I got from Costco didn't come with the right adapter for it. It's unlike anything I've seen before. Be sure to choose wipers that are specifically designed for the Ford Escape.

Michelin tires are not compatible with the Ford Escape model. It is recommended not to purchase them for this vehicle.

Take off the current wiper blades from the front windshield, give it a good cleaning, then install the new wiper blades onto the windshield.
