Numerous DIY car enthusiasts online find changing the drive belt tensioner pulley on the Ford Transit to be surprisingly simple. With a little time and effort, you should be able to tackle the task yourself. To start, lift the passenger side of the vehicle with jack stands after parking on a flat surface and engaging the parking brake. Take off the front passenger's tire to make things easier. Undo the plastic cover secured by two bolts to reveal the tensioner pulley. Locate a 15mm nut-like component and rotate it in a clockwise direction to release the belt's tension. Once the belt is off, you can access the two bolts holding the pulley in position. After removing these bolts, you can take off the pulley and install a new one.
