Many owners have complained that even when the AC is set to full blast, it fails to adequately cool the cabin as the air emitted is weak and never reaches the desired temperature. While there is no official recall or technical service bulletin at the moment, both FIAT Chrysler and dealerships have acknowledged the faulty system. Most people believe that the AC's poor performance is due to a computer glitch that requires a software update. Some Ram owners have managed to get their dealers to replace the AC compressor and temperature sensor at no charge, but this fix doesn't always solve the problem completely. On the flip side, there are also an equal number of Dodge customers who have reported that their air conditioning works exceptionally well, indicating that the issue might be specific to certain vehicles.

My 2019 Dodge Ram has a persistent issue with the compressor failing. It has already been replaced twice and now needs another replacement. The first replacement was done just 9 months after purchasing the truck, followed by another replacement exactly a year later. Luckily, it is still under warranty for two more months and has only 52000 kilometers on it. I'm concerned if this will become an annual costly problem in the future. Could there be a flaw in the design of the compressor or the alignment of the pulley wheels in the truck? It seems that the rubber bushing in the front of the compressor fails suddenly rather than gradually, causing a strong rubber burning smell and a large amount of smoke coming from under the hood.
