Here is a simplified version: Some common issues with the backup camera in the GMC Terrain include it not working, a cracked screen, and a faulty picture. If the screen is cracked, it needs to be replaced as it is damaged. If the camera is completely non-functional, there are usually two causes: bad wires or a blown fuse. To access the fuse box under the car's hood, you need to lift and secure the hood. You'll find a black box on the right side of the engine compartment with a seam. Inside, there will be the fuse. The lid of the box will have a diagram showing what each fuse is for. If this diagram is not on the box, you can check the owner's manual. To replace a faulty fuse, just pull it out and check if the metal strip connecting the two sections is intact. If it's broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. Fuses are inexpensive, typically around $10 each.
