If the power steering in your 2011 Buick LaCrosse is acting up, chances are there's a leak in the line and your fluid level is low. Once you fix the leak and replace the fluid, you'll need to change the power steering fluid. To do this, start by locating the clear plastic container under the hood near the window. Using a pump, remove all the fluid from the container. When it's almost empty, turn the steering wheel all the way to one side, then the other, to drain the remaining fluid in the system. Once the container is empty, refill it to the full line, but not over. It may take some time for the steering wheel to feel normal again, so drive for about 20 minutes to ensure it's working properly.
The issues with the power steering in the 2011 Buick Lacrosse are caused by either faulty wires in the steering column or a leak in the power steering fluid.
