Audio system issues in the Mazda CX5 are often caused by faulty wires, damaged speakers, or more commonly, a blown fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside, you will find multiple fuses. The back of the panel you opened should have a diagram showing the purpose of each fuse. If not, you can refer to the owner's manual. To check a fuse, remove it and inspect the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections. If the strip is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced; if it's intact, you can reinsert it. Replacement fuses are affordable, usually around $10.

Just purchased my brand-new 2021 Mazda CX30 select. Right after I got it, the speakers suddenly stopped working. Took it back to the Mazda dealership, and they removed and reinserted the fuses, which led to the computer resetting itself. Initially, the stereo worked fine, but after turning off and restarting the car, the sound failed once more. Now, I'm back at the dealership for further assistance.

I had a similar issue with my brand-new 2021 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring. I took it back to the dealership, where they reset the software and it seemed fine. However, the next day, the car wouldn't start when I tried turning it on. Interestingly, it would randomly turn on after about 15 minutes of driving. I'm planning to return to the dealership to address this issue.

The sound system in our 2021 Mazda CX5 was turned on, but we couldn't hear any sound. This problem was happening randomly and it was really annoying. It wasn't because of the mute button or a software update, and even disconnecting the battery didn't help. After taking the car to the dealership twice, they replaced the amplifier unit under warranty, and luckily, that fixed the problem! Hooray!

I own a 2018 Mazda CX-5 and the audio receiver in it is completely useless! It constantly changes settings on its own, making it impossible to rely on. Don't even think about using the GPS, as it will suddenly change directions, putting you at risk of getting into an accident. When I reached out to the dealership, they claimed I was the only one experiencing this issue, but I can clearly see that I'm not alone in this frustration. Mazda, it's disappointing that you're aware of this problem but haven't issued any recalls. Will it take a serious accident caused by the erratic screen changes for you to take action?!

I don't have a solution yet, but I'm experiencing a similar problem with my 2021 CX5 Signature. Lately, the audio volume keeps decreasing and then returning on its own. The dealership tried to fix it with an update, but that didn't work. I've scheduled another appointment with them. It's aggravating, especially for a car that only has 8,000 miles on it.
