In 2015, Dodge made significant changes to the lighting control and management systems in the Ram series. However, during this process, a programming error was overlooked, which led to voltage fluctuations in the lights. Additionally, the automated lighting control system caused some lights in the car to be underpowered. This resulted in users experiencing problems such as flickering lights, dim lights, and in some instances, complete light failures. Dodge later released a firmware update to correct the issue. If you are still facing lighting issues, you may want to consider taking your car to a dealership to have the firmware updated through a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB).
The main problems frequently seen with the lights on the 2015 Ram 1500 are either the bulbs burning out or issues with the power wire failing.
