The main issues affecting navigation on the Volvo XC60 typically stem from software glitches, although hardware problems with the unit or antenna may also occur. If your navigation is experiencing issues, there are several troubleshooting steps to consider. The initial action to take when encountering navigation system malfunctions is to reboot the head unit, as a software glitch may be causing it to freeze. It is important to regularly update the software to maintain optimal performance. In cases where the screen is unresponsive, it may indicate a power issue with the head unit, requiring a check of the fuse. If your vehicle's location cannot be pinpointed on the map, it is likely due to an antenna issue.

A couple of concerns we have with our 2020 XC60 model include the radio not providing traffic information and the Sensus Navigation not displaying traffic problems on the route. This has led to us getting stuck in heavy traffic multiple times, which is a significant problem. Additionally, the maps do not include all destinations, whereas Google Maps does. Furthermore, the map guidance on the screen contradicts the voice guidance. Overall, this navigation system is the worst we have experienced out of the 20 we've had previously.
