In the 2011 Honda Pilot with all-wheel-drive, there are warning systems in place to alert you if there are any issues detected by the sensors related to the function and traction control. The "VTM4" light corresponds to the "Variable Torque Management 4WD System" and can be activated by various errors, such as underinflated tires or rear differential issues. If the VTM4 warning is triggered, the AWD will be automatically disengaged to prevent damage to the vehicle or transmission. When driving at speeds above 18 mph, the VTM4 restrictions will be temporarily lifted, although it is not recommended to continue driving with the light on. In some cases, a faulty knock sensor near the intake manifold has been reported, often caused by animals nesting in that area. The light may also be linked to emission problems, which usually necessitate replacing the EGR valve to resolve.

Inspect the battery terminal. My terminal was faulty, but after wiggling it a bit, the vehicle started up immediately.
