In a 2001 Chevy Suburban, the front and rear doors are equipped with 6 3/4" speakers. If these speakers are malfunctioning, the first step is to check the fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you'll find various fuses. The back of the panel usually features a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If this diagram is not present, it can also be found in the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the fuse needed and remove it. Check if the metal strip connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact; if it's broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is unbroken, reinsert the fuse back into the box. Replacement fuses are low-cost, typically around $10.
