To change the oil in your Ford Explorer, first, you'll need to find the drain plug and oil pan located underneath the car to release the old oil by unbolting them. Then, raise the front of the vehicle using two jack stands and use a 5/8th socket wrench to remove the oil pan and drain the oil. The oil pan is typically on the driver's side of the car. Replace the oil filter by unscrewing the old one, applying a bit of 5W-30 engine lubricant to the O-ring of the new filter, and then installing it. Next, unscrew the oil reservoir in the engine compartment and fill it with 6 quarts of fully synthetic 5W-30 oil using a funnel. Start the engine and let it run for 20 minutes while checking for any leaks or issues with the vehicle's operation.

To perform an oil change on a Ford Explorer, you should find the drain plug, take it out, let the oil drain out, take off the oil filter, and put on a new one. After all the oil has drained out, put back the drain plug with a new washer, and then pour fresh oil into the engine until it's full.
