The 2007 Ford F-150 4.6l engine is equipped with a spin-on canister oil filter with an m22x1 thread size. It requires 7 quarts of 5w20 synthetic oil for a complete oil change. To start the oil change process, ensure the vehicle has been off for a few hours to let the oil cool down. Locate the oil pan and drain plug underneath the engine. Place a bucket beneath the plug, remove it, and allow the oil to drain into the pan until it stops dripping, which may take about an hour. Once fully drained, replace the drain plug and find the oil intake port on top of the oil pan. Fill the oil pan using a funnel, ensuring not to overfill to prevent leaks and oil burn off. It's okay to be slightly under the full mark. After filling, close the port, clean up any spills, and you're done.
