The air conditioning in a Toyota Corolla might not be blowing cold air properly due to a failing component, like a faulty compressor or separated pulley. The AC relies on the cooling system, and a malfunctioning thermostat can disrupt temperature control. Another common issue could be with the compressor solenoid needing replacement. Low refrigerant levels or leaks can also lead to cooling problems, making it hard to cool the car's interior. Problems can arise with the electronic climate control system not communicating with the AC/heater module. Replacing the Corolla's AC compressor can cost between $600 and $800 for parts and labor.

My 2016 Toyota Corolla isn't blowing any air at all. It kicks back on randomly. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Thank you.

My wife and I both had 2016 Corollas, and the air conditioning in both vehicles started having issues around 100,000 miles in a very similar way. Unfortunately, my AC quit working just after the 120,000-mile extended warranty ended, and Toyota quoted us $2,000 to repair it. I suspect they may have designed it to fail around the 100,000-mile mark on the 2016 models as a tactic to push customers to purchase a new car. When you're faced with a non-functional AC and a costly repair, some people may opt to just buy a new vehicle rather than dealing with the hassle and expense of fixing it. It's frustrating that Toyota would do this, in my opinion. The issue is with the condenser pump failing, not a refrigerant leak.

Although there are various causes for why your 2016 Toyota Corolla's air conditioning may not be functioning properly, the top three reasons commonly cited are a refrigerant leak, an electrical problem with the climate control system, or a malfunctioning air conditioning compressor.
