What could be causing the HVAC system in my 2013 Dodge Ram to malfunction?

If the climate control in your 2013 Dodge Ram is not functioning properly, there are a few possible reasons for it. A common issue that could be causing this is a blown fuse within the HVAC system, potentially for the compressor or blowers. Another likely culprit could be a malfunctioning blower motor, with the blower motor resistor typically failing first before the fan assembly itself. Additionally, a potential cause of an AC problem could be a stuck blend door, blocking the airflow intermittently.

I own a 2013 Dodge Ram truck and the climate control system is giving me trouble. The blower motor works fine at all speeds, and I even purchased a new resistor. However, the heater only works intermittently and the airflow from the facial vents is not consistent. I suspect it could be a problem with the blend door or the actuator.

What's strange is that sometimes, even when my truck is turned off, I can hear the blend doors moving without any power, and they might change position on their own. When I start the truck again, the heater blows cold air and the airflow direction is different from what I set. I can't adjust the airflow direction as the actuators do not respond to any knob movements – there is no sound coming from them. Resetting with the buttons does not help either.

The only solution that temporarily works is unplugging the negative battery terminal, which resets the system and everything functions normally again for a while. I can hear the actuators working and control the airflow direction. However, the issue returns after driving for a day or so and letting the truck sit.

I'm not sure if the problem lies with the climate control module, a relay, or a fuse. Can anyone offer assistance or advice on how to fix this persistent issue?

If the air conditioning, defroster, or heater in the 2013 Dodge Ram, which is also referred to as the climate control system, isn't functioning, it could be due to either a lack of power to the fan or a faulty control motor.

The air conditioning is currently turned off and cannot be switched back on. It seems to be stuck in the off setting. I have come across suggestions such as a faulty fuse or a broken control motor. Is there a possibility of another issue causing this?
