The back of the case lid typically contains a diagram indicating which fuse serves what purpose. If not, refer to the car's owner's manual for guidance. Identify the needed fuse and carefully remove it. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two protruding sections of the fuse is intact; a broken strip signifies a faulty fuse that needs replacement. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are generally inexpensive, costing around $10.
