If the remote start feature isn't functioning in your Jeep Grand Cherokee, the first step is to inspect the battery inside the key fob. A depleted battery can prevent the key fob from communicating with the SUV's receiver to start the car. If the battery is in good condition or has been recently replaced, the next item to examine is the hood latch. The vehicle includes a safety measure that deactivates remote start when the hood is open to prevent any harm while working on the engine. If troubleshooting the battery and hood latch doesn't resolve the issue, it is advisable to have Jeep assess the body control module to ensure its proper functionality, as it governs these functions.

I experienced a similar problem where my car battery was failing. I didn't address it right away, and eventually, the battery died completely. After replacing the battery with a new one, the car started up without any issues.

Why does my keyless remote car starter function when my car is warm?

My car functioned perfectly for 4 years, but now it's not working properly. Here are a few things to investigate: 1. The battery in the key fob may be low. 2. The engine light is illuminated. 3. The gas tank is less than a quarter full. 4. The vehicle battery may be low - I experienced a temporary fix by installing a new battery. 5. Low tire pressure might be the cause, but essentially, any warning light on your dashboard will prevent the remote start from functioning.

I can't give a response, but I can share my symptoms. The car won't start remotely, won't lock/unlock, can't open the tailgate, or trigger the panic feature. I had the fob battery replaced in July or August. However, once I've been driving for about 45 minutes and arrive at work, everything starts working normally.
