If the radio mode button on your MINI Cooper isn't working, it's likely due to a blown fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you'll find several fuses. Check the diagram on the back of the panel or refer to the owner's manual to identify the fuse you need. Remove the fuse by pulling it out - if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, reinsert the fuse. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, usually around $10.
The primary issue causing a button to malfunction on the MINI Cooper is usually related to faults in the wires responsible for supplying power and maintaining connections, potentially leading to burning out.
The primary fuse box inside a vehicle in the UK is located in the driver's footwell, right beside the accelerator pedal.
