If the fuel pump fuse is not getting power, it may have burned out. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you will find a variety of fuses. Check the diagram on the back of the panel to identify the specific fuse needed, or refer to the owner's manual for your vehicle. Once you have located the correct fuse, remove it. Check if the metal strip connecting the two sections that stick up is intact. If it is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is still connected, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically around $10.
