In a Ford F-150, a common reason for the car radio to stop working is a blown fuse. If the radio isn't turning on, there's a good chance that blown fuses are to blame. To confirm this, you should use a voltmeter to test for power and ground in the radio and check for blown fuses. If wires in the audio system have shorted out, you might experience erratic behavior or no function at all. This can lead to fuses blowing quickly in succession, where a replaced fuse blows again soon after.

If the radio in your Ford F-150 isn't working, it might be due to a blown fuse or an issue with the vehicle's electrical control module. It's best to seek assistance from an experienced diagnostic technician.

Where can I find the radio fuse in a 2015 F150 truck?

In 2018, my F150's radio isn't working. I've confirmed the radio fuses are fine. The screen display is working, and I can see other controls on it. However, when I try to turn on the radio by pressing the radio symbol, nothing happens.

On a 2009 F150 XLT, the radio wouldn't come on even though all the fuses were fine. After disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, the radio suddenly started working again. It seemed to require a reset, but the reason behind it remains unexplained.

Upon arriving home with 107,000 miles on the odometer, I discovered that the radio was malfunctioning. Although the screen was functional for other features, the radio itself wouldn't turn on. After attempting to reset it by pulling the fuse and reinserting it to no avail, I then tried inserting a CD. However, the CD wouldn't go in, indicating that power was required for the radio unit to accept the CD. After manipulating the CD eject button and reinserting the fuse (if I remember correctly, it was fuse 32), the radio finally began working again. It seems like the radio was stuck in a strange software mode, and removing the fuse essentially reset it. I'm relieved that this solution worked, although it's frustrating that the radio has had previous blackouts. If you found this helpful, please like this post. Feel free to send me a message if you have any further inquiries. Apologies for not scanning the OBD2 port for any codes; I would have done so if the aforementioned steps had not resolved the issue. Additionally, I confirmed that the fuse in the fuse box was still in good condition and didn't need to be replaced.

After using a booster to kickstart my F150, the radio suddenly went dark and unresponsive. Despite checking all the fuses and finding none burnt out, the issue persisted. As a last resort, I disconnected the battery for a few hours by removing both the positive and negative terminals. Miraculously, upon reconnecting, the radio functioned normally again! To my surprise, all my settings also restored themselves about half an hour later.
