I own a 2014 Silverado LTZ, and a few years ago my air conditioning stopped working. I took it to a repair shop and they charged me $1600 to fix it. Not long after that, there was a recall on a bracket connected to the AC hose that caused a tear in the AC line, leading to a Freon leak. This issue has occurred again, and I am hoping that General Motors will cover the repair costs this time, as it seems they didn't address the root problem the first time around.

My issue turned out to be the air conditioning clutch. Check in the engine compartment to see if it's engaging when the AC is on. If it's not working, try tapping it with a hammer. If it clicks into place, you'll only need to replace the clutch.
