If the display on your Chevy Silverado's radio isn't working, it's likely due to a faulty fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you'll find a row of fuses. On the back of the panel, there should be a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram is not on the back of the panel, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the faulty fuse based on the diagram and remove it by pulling it out. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact. If it's broken, the fuse is bad and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, costing around 10 dollars.

The problem with the radio display in a Chevy Silverado not functioning may be a typical issue such as a wiring connection fault or a blown fuse. It is essential to inspect both of these possibilities and confirm that the connections are secure.

If the fuse is fine, the issue might be with the wiring. Even though my fuse is in good condition, my radio still doesn't work. I have confirmed that there is power reaching the radio using a power probe, but the display remains non-functional. I'm unsure of the cause, so please let me know if you have a solution.

I recently purchased a 2017 vehicle a few days back. The screen is currently black with no sound, but the backup camera works fine. I've attempted all the troubleshooting tips found online, except for changing the screen. I suppose that will be my next move.

Our problem lies with the motherboard that connects the power to the radio, but we are struggling to identify the specific model of this motherboard. If anyone has information on this, please inform us.

My screen turns on when I press the center, indicating there may be a loose connection.

We have checked all the fuses and wires, everything looks fine except for one issue. I have connected a device using the same power cord as the radio, but it is not receiving power. I am unsure if the wire is faulty or if the power box is the problem. I have ruled out the fuses and am now seeking advice on any relays or additional fuses that may be related to the screen. I suspect that the box connected to the wire under the dash behind the glove box might be failing. If this is the case, please advise on how to determine if that is the issue.

If your radio or CD player suddenly stops working, try a quick fix by disconnecting the positive battery cable from the battery post for about 15 to 30 minutes. After that, reconnect the cable to the terminal. This action will reset the system to its original settings, and your radio should start working normally again.

When the truck is turned off, can you see the time displayed on the LEDs by pressing the knob? In my case, the time is shown, but when the truck is on, the LEDs remain dark. The radio works and tunes correctly otherwise. It's a very strange issue.

I've owned my 2022 Silverado RST Z71 since October. Initially, the audio was distorted, so I had the software updated at the dealership. However, now I am experiencing issues where the audio cuts in and out during some long drives, lasting 2 hours. Restarting the truck and pulling the fuse has been unsuccessful in restoring the audio. Last night, I encountered a problem where the truck would not disconnect from my phone when I entered my house. Despite rebooting my phone, the connection persisted. Additionally, the dashboard light on the shifter stayed on, and pulling the stereo fuse did not resolve the issue. If the problem persists, I may need to contact a tow truck for assistance.

My screen and radio only work if I take out the fuse and put it back in, then the display comes on completely. The issue starts all over again when I turn off the engine. Can you assist me with this problem?

Sometimes my car's display will turn on when I use the auto start, then switch off. It also tends to come on in very cold weather and goes off when I engage the turn signals. I'm frustrated and ruling out the possibility that it's a fuse issue.

Ensure that the light sensor on the dashboard is not blocked. Mine was fogged up due to the air conditioning, but after wiping it off, it worked perfectly. Those sensors can be overly sensitive sometimes.

Be sure nothing is blocking the light sensor on the dashboard.
