After driving a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for a while, you might notice that the heater isn't working anymore. There are a few potential reasons for this issue. One possible cause could be a damaged heater blower motor, which may result in reduced airflow from the vents, the fan becoming stuck at a certain speed, or no air coming out at all. Another reason could be a malfunctioning thermostat, leading to unexpected engine overheating or coolant leaks from the thermostat unit. Lastly, a faulty heater blower motor resistor might be the culprit, indicated by weak airflow, the motor only working at high or low speeds, and smoke coming from the vents.
