No actually

If the remote start feature on your Mercedes-Benz stops working, try starting the car manually and then exiting. Once you are outside, try using the remote start feature again. If it still doesn't work, check the settings on your display screen to ensure they are still intact. If the settings have been erased, re-enter them and attempt to use the remote start feature once more.

Is that the best choice? You should physically go and start your car, then turn it off before trying again? So, what's even the use of a remote start? Maybe Mercedes should consider a more dependable alternative.

Typically, when the remote start feature on your Mercedes me connect isn't functioning, it's often due to a communication issue.

It would have been helpful if the key fob had that feature. That, at least, is trustworthy!

Mercedes represents European luxury, but it feels like they are a century behind American standards. To me, Mercedes is just a fancy emblem or a mere paper company. I was let down by the interior, especially the absence of Apple CarPlay. By the way, our remote starter stopped functioning, and Mercedes suggested we contact the remote starter company ourselves. It's frustrating when you expect top-notch luxury service and end up feeling disappointed.

I think the key is to get the car's connectivity up and running. When the iPhone app won't start the car for me, what usually does the trick is using the remote key to unlock and then lock the car. After that, it usually picks up on the start command that was already sent.

My remote starting system and Mercedes me app are not able to find or secure my car. Can you offer any guidance on what to do next?

I used to have a simple Nissan before, but I traded it for a C200 microhybrid, and if I could go back, I wouldn't do it again. Mercedes is all hype: very expensive and not practical at all.
