The radio display in the Ford F-150 may fail to work due to wiring issues or a need for a factory reset of the truck's audio system. To reset Ford SYNC and the stereo screen, you can follow these steps. First, disconnect the positive battery cable and wait for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, reconnect the cable and start the vehicle. This should reset the audio and potentially fix the screen. Follow any on-screen instructions that appear. If these steps do not solve the issue, you can try pulling the radio display fuse, which is labeled as number #26 in the cabin fuse box located on the right side of the passenger's footwell. Replace this fuse to restore the screen's function. In some cases, the problem may be with the FDIM (front display interface module), which is the stereo unit. For more complex repairs, it is advisable to seek assistance from your local dealership.

Don't remove your battery cables or fuses. It's likely a software problem with SYNC that is already recognized. If you can hear audio but the display isn't working, press and hold the power button on the Volume knob along with the seek forward button for more than 10 seconds until you see the Ford logo appear.

If the screen on your Ford F-150 radio is not functioning, it could be a sign that the fuse needs to be replaced.

I've tried restarting using the power/ffwd button 10 times, but CarPlay still shows up blank. My car is still under warranty, but I'd rather not have to go all the way to the dealership and wait a whole day if there's another fix. Does anyone have any suggestions? I might give the battery or fuse options a shot...

I had a problem where the screen on my truck's radio kept turning off, but the radio and Bluetooth still worked. Even resetting didn't help. I went to a local radio installer who told me that Ford is known to have issues with their radio systems. Unfortunately, there won't be a recall since it's not a safety concern. I had to shell out $400 to get the display and internal module replaced. Best of luck if you run into this problem too.

I didn't have a screen or radio, so I tried the method mentioned above. I pressed and held the power button and forward seek button together for 10 seconds, and it worked to reset the system. Appreciate the tip. I didn't have to investigate the fuse or unhook the battery.

I was only seeing the date, time, and temperature displayed on a black screen. After performing a reset by pressing two buttons, everything returned to normal without any issues.
