If the dashboard of your Chevy Cruze is completely dark, it is possible that a fuse has blown in your car. To fix this issue, you can try replacing the old fuse with a new one. However, if replacing the fuse does not solve the problem, it may indicate a more serious electrical issue. To check the fuse, make sure the car is turned off, locate the specific fuse, and remove it using a fuse puller from the fuse box or a pair of needle-nose pliers. Examine the fuse by holding it up to the light and checking for any damage or breaks in the metal wire.

I experienced the same problem myself. I viewed videos of others facing the identical issue. Initially, I replaced the fuse, but the problem recurred. I ended up replacing both the negative and positive battery cables because Chevrolet Cruzes are prone to this issue. Instead of opting for inexpensive cables from a store, I decided to purchase them from the dealership for $105. After changing both cables, all issues resolved. Given the recurring problem with the Cruze, we decided to choose the dealer's cables as we were concerned the cheaper ones might fail again.

It seems that a fuse has probably blown out, so you should locate the fuse box and replace the blown fuse in the vehicle.
