If the radio in your car is not functioning correctly, the issue is likely a faulty wire or more commonly, a blown fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack on the left side of the dashboard next to the steering wheel. You can open this panel with a screwdriver or prybar. Inside, you will see multiple fuses. The back of the panel should have a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram is not present, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the fuse needed and remove it by pulling it out. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact; if it is broken, the fuse is no longer functional and needs replacement. If the strip is unbroken, reinsert the fuse into its slot. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically costing around 10 dollars.
