If this doesn't work and the screen remains unresponsive, check the radio fuse located in the fuse panel under the driver's side dash. Ensure that the fuses are intact and the wiring connections at the back are secure. If everything checks out, replacing the head unit may be necessary.

In 2018, my GMC Sierra's infotainment system suddenly went on the fritz. While the screen was still functioning properly for the rear camera, the infotainment features weren't running due to a power issue. I tried examining and resetting the blue connection wire in the glove box, but it didn't fix the problem. As a last resort, I disconnected the negative battery ground for about 10 minutes, reconnected it, and luckily, everything returned to normal.

I've noticed that the blank infotainment screen issue happens more frequently when using the remote start feature.
