If you see a red blinking light on the dashboard of your Honda Civic, it means that the anti-theft system is activated. Typically, the light only flashes when the car is parked and locked without the keys inside. If you see the light blinking after unlocking your car, it could indicate a previous theft attempt thwarted by the system, or it might signal an issue with the alarm system. If you're unable to start your car, try resetting the alarm. If that doesn't resolve the issue, consider visiting a Honda dealership for alarm system repairs.

This is the anti-theft locking system, which is activated only when you use the key to lock the car.

The red light by the left turn signal blinks when my 2017 Civic is locked. If it's cold for 3 or 4 days, the battery dies. I've had to replace the battery three times already, despite not having an alarm system.

Previously, I never had a blinking red light on the dashboard of my 2015 Honda. Now, after my battery died and I replaced it with a new one, the blinking red light still appears when I lock the door. Sometimes, the door even locks and then opens again when I use the remote. How can I reset the anti-theft security system? Thank you.

Once I switch off my car and lock it using the keys or remote, I notice a blinking light on the dashboard. However, when I lock the car manually from the inside, the light does not blink. I have visited the mechanics twice, but they haven't been able to identify the issue. I even replaced the battery and changed all the car's wires, but the problem persists. What could be causing this recurring issue?

This issue is driving me crazy! The light flashes, then the car alarm goes off whenever I open the door or even if I'm inside the car. It gets even louder when I start the car and doesn't stop, even while driving. I've tried everything I read to fix it - pushing different buttons, closing all the doors - but nothing works. The alarm miraculously turned off once when I was in the car reading the owner's manual, not even touching the keys, doors, or steering wheel. The second time, it only stopped when I was about 30 feet away from the car, explaining the situation to a police officer. I've had this happen five times now and the officer couldn't offer any suggestions. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Adding any objects near the ignition switch, such as a flashy ring, can interfere with the signal.

Chris, my car is experiencing the same issue where the red light is causing the battery to lose power.
