In the 2010 Ford Edge, the size of the axle nut is 36 mm. The transmission is a crucial component of the vehicle, and encountering issues with it is inevitable. Symptoms such as harsh shifting, jerking, gears getting stuck, shuddering, and delayed shifts can all indicate transmission problems. It is important to address issues like transmission fluid leaks promptly to prevent further damage. Regular maintenance, including replacing the transmission fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles, is essential to keep the transmission running smoothly. Additionally, unusual sounds emanating from the transmission, particularly due to old fluid, should not be ignored as they could signify underlying problems like a worn-out torque converter.

This is why everywhere I turn, I can only find frustration. I have to replace my axle, and wherever I search, conflicting information about the size of the axle nut on a 2011 Ford keeps popping up. Some say it's 32mm, others say 34mm or 36mm... Which one is correct? It would have been easier if the Ford engineers had kept the axle nut size consistent across all model years.

The Ford Edge manufactured in 2010 requires a 32mm axle nut size.
