In its original configuration, a Ram 1500 can fit up to 35 X12.50" tires without needing any adjustments. If you want to use larger tires, like 37-39", you may need to make alterations like rolling the fenders or trimming the wheel wells or body mounts. The different models of the Ram come equipped with rims ranging from 17-22" in size, and they typically use 265-70-17 and 285-70-17 tires on models like Big Horn, Express, Harvest, Lone Star, Rebel, Tradesman, and LaRamie. However, the LaRamie Longhorn, Limited, and Sport variants have 275-60-20 tires, while the Sport Regular Cab comes with 285-45-22 tires. For optimal performance, a Ram tire should be inflated to 36 PSI to ensure fuel efficiency and safe driving.

I'm really interested in understanding why the Classic and Standard versions can accommodate a 35 size tire. With my previous 15-foot model year which had 33-inch tires, I used to experience rubbing against the wheel well when making tight turns. I'm curious how the newer 5th generation models are able to fit a 35-inch tire without needing a leveling kit or modifying the fenders or wheel wells. I would appreciate any insights on this matter. Thank you!

To accommodate 35-inch tires on a classic vehicle, you'll require a leveling kit.
