You can store your car without starting it for a year or more if properly prepared. Begin by replacing all fluids and oils to ensure they are in good condition. For storing up to a year, fill the gas tank and add a fuel stabilizer to prevent condensation. If storing for longer, empty the tank to avoid fuel going bad. Use a trickle charger on the battery to maintain its charge. Elevate the car on jack stands to prevent flat spots on the tires. Cover intake openings to keep out mice and other pests from nesting in the engine. Placing mothballs around the vehicle can help deter pests.
