The maximum weight limit for the roof rack of a Toyota Sienna, applicable to all model years, is 165 pounds. Most vehicles are not designed to carry heavy loads on their roofs, so it's best to stick to lighter items like skis or small cargo. However, the Sienna can tow a cargo trailer like Northern Tool's Ultra-Tow Tag-Along, which offers 16.6 cubic feet of storage and a 600-pound capacity. Since it can tow up to 3,500 pounds, using a cargo trailer is a practical solution to work around the limited weight allowance on the roof rack.
The maximum weight that the roof rack of a Toyota Sienna can hold is 350 pounds.
According to the owner's manual of my 2015 Sienna, it is advised not to go over 150 pounds on the roof rack, as stated on page 206.
