In the context of a GMC Terrain, SLE stands for "Special Luxury Edition," although it may come across as just a fancy marketing term since it's essentially the standard package. The other available package is the SLT, which is indeed a bit more special since it comes with additional features. The SLT is priced at $32,000, which is $3,000 more than the SLE priced at $29,000. The SLT includes features such as a hands-free power liftgate, LED fog lamps, an 8-inch infotainment center (larger than the SLE's), roof side rails, remote start, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel that are not found in the SLE. While you can add most of these features to the SLE, it may be more practical to just opt for the SLT instead. Moreover, a significant distinction is that the SLT offers the option to upgrade from the standard 1.5L Turbo 4Cylinder to a 2.0L turbo, which is not available with the SLE trim.

The abbreviation "SLE" on a GMC Terrain represents the "Special Luxury Edition." It signifies a premium trim option with additional features beyond the standard model.

That's strange because I have an SLE that has all the same features as the SLT.
