The SXT package for the Dodge Avenger is called "Standard Extra", while RT stands for Road Track and SRT stands for Street and Racing Technology. The SE simply means Standard Edition. When you opt for the SXT package, you'll be getting a 6-speed multi-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual instead of the standard 4-speed automatic with overdrive. The engine remains the same with 173 horsepower. The RT model also features the same transmission as the SXT but upgrades to a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 283 horsepower, costing an additional $2,000 compared to the SXT.
