Ryan is mistaken. The transmission control module (TCM) on the DPS6 transmission is attached to the side of the transmission with four bolts. It is situated below the air cleaner and connects to two large wiring harnesses. Additionally, there are two geared motors that go through the transmission housing and are sealed by o-rings. The most challenging part might be disconnecting the harnesses without causing damage, although it's not too difficult if you have the know-how. I've seen new or remanufactured TCMs sell for around $250 to $500. As for labor costs, I don't have a precise figure, but it is relatively straightforward. However, there may be a need to reprogram it, which might require a dealer's expertise. I have replaced TCMs from junkyards before, but they did not last long.
