I did the job myself, and it took me a long time. Despite having experience with cars, it was still difficult, and I needed to borrow some tools in the end. Although I saved $2,000, I sacrificed a lot of time and even had to take a vacation day from work to complete it. My knuckles got all banged up in the process. In hindsight, I would recommend that people go to a shop to avoid the frustration and avoid ending up with bloody knuckles. Some things are just better off left to the professionals, and this is one of them.
