To reset the computer on a Chevy Cruze, there are two methods available. The first option is to disconnect the battery cable and keep it off for approximately one hour. Alternatively, you can remove the fuse. To access the fuse box, locate it to the left of the steering wheel and search for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. With a screwdriver or prybar, proceed to open it. Inside, you will find various fuses. Check the back of the panel you opened for a diagram that indicates the purpose of each fuse. If this diagram is not present, refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you have identified the necessary fuse, simply remove it. If the metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse is broken, the fuse is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the metal strip is intact, the fuse is still functional and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are typically affordable, costing around $10.
