The Ford Fusion's engine oil change alert indicates that it's time to change the oil. To do this, first ensure the car has been turned off and parked for a couple of hours to let the engine cool down. Locate the oil pan and drain plug underneath the engine compartment. Place a container under the plug and remove it to drain out the old oil. Let it drip until it stops, which might take around an hour. Once drained, put the plug back in place. Next, find the oil fill port on top of the oil pan and use a funnel to refill it to the full mark, avoiding overfilling to prevent leaks and burning off excess oil. After filling, close the port, clean up any spills, and you're done.

The "change engine oil soon" notification might pop up when your oil has been used up to its fullest capacity since your last oil change.
