The Chevy S-10 compact pickup truck is no longer in production and has been replaced by the Chevy Colorado. Initially, the S-10 came with a 2.2-liter I-4 engine that generated 125 horsepower and 140 lbs.-ft. of torque, with a towing capacity of up to 6,400 pounds when properly equipped. The S-10 had a payload capacity of 1,160 pounds and varied in length depending on the bed size: 190 inches for the short bed, 203 inches for the regular bed, and 205 inches for the long bed, all with a width of 67.9 inches. The 2WD models offered reasonable fuel efficiency, achieving 15 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and a combined 18 mpg.
Thanks for the information. I was considering purchasing a motorhome, but people have been dishonest, so I believe I have settled on getting a trailer with a ball hitch. I am contemplating using my 1998 S10 with a 4-cylinder engine and 142,000 miles, which is still running smoothly. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have had 82,000 pounds on my truck.
