The Cadillac SRS is built to last for about 150,000 miles, which is usually equivalent to ten to fifteen years. To prolong your vehicle's lifespan, it's crucial to follow regular maintenance recommendations. This involves changing the oil every 10,000 miles or yearly, checking and replacing transmission, power steering fluids, and coolant every 6 months or 5,000 miles (whichever occurs first), and inspecting components like fuel and cabin air filters, serpentine belts, or timing chains every 6 to 12 months, replacing them when necessary.

I own a 2011 Cadillac SRX with 265,000 miles, and I regularly take it to dealerships for maintenance. It's still running smoothly.

I own a 2008 SRX4 with a V8 engine and all-wheel drive. I've taken great care of this car, using high-quality oil and changing it more often than necessary. I always add an octane booster to the gas tank, although the amount I use is minimal. My car recently reached over 214,000 miles, but it still runs well. People still compliment me on how it looks like it just came off the showroom floor, even though it's now 2021.

I'm considering purchasing a 2012 Cadillac SRX from him for $5,000. It has 180,000 miles on it. Would this be a smart purchase?

My 2006 SRX with a 3.6 engine hit 390,000 kilometers before the transmission failed, despite being driven aggressively throughout its life. 😁

Bought from a dealer in 2021 for $12,000. The car is a 2010 premium model with 119,000 miles. On the first day, it had brake issues that cost $1,500 to fix. After that, there were more problems that needed repair totaling $1,600. Then there was a costly issue with the Cadillac converter that cost $3,300 to fix. The car also had a recurring crankshaft problem, always leaking water when it rained or after a car wash. Despite Cadillac's attempt to fix it, the issue remains. Now, the right low beam is not functioning due to moisture in the casings. In the seven months of owning this vehicle, I have never experienced so many problems. I am dissatisfied with the only dealer in town, as they performed repairs that required me to return the car after driving a short distance because they forgot to tighten a bolt, causing the car to fishtail. Additionally, the brake light would not turn off. Overall, I am not happy with the situation.

I've got a 2005 SRX with 143,000 miles that's been running great since I replaced the transmission. However, I've run into a problem now where it's burning oil and the mechanic is saying I might have to consider getting a new car. What should I do next?

I own a 2010 srx premium with 220,000 miles on it, and it still runs as smooth as the day I bought it. I make sure to take care of the fluids and maintenance myself. The only problems I've had are the wire on the window motor coming off track and a faulty tailgate latch, but overall, it's been a fantastic car.

The Cadillac SRX is projected to remain operational for more than 150,000 miles as long as regular maintenance schedules are adhered to.

I appreciate the great feedback about your Cadillac SRX. I was concerned about my 2011 SRX nearing 150,000 miles, but it still looks good and drives well. I was considering upgrading to a 2015 SRX and selling my current one, but now I might just hang onto it for a bit more. Your input has been really helpful, thank you!

I've had my 2011 SRX for 7 years now, and it has approximately 97,000 miles on it. Fortunately, I haven't encountered any major problems with it. I'm glad I opted for the Cadillac protection plan, as it has definitely been worth the investment.

2010 SRX equipped with a non-turbo V6 engine. Serviced regularly following manufacturer recommendations and exclusively used synthetic oil. Has been driven for 98,000 miles without any significant problems. Experienced a few minor mechanical issues over the years, but most were taken care of under warranty. Overall, it's been a fantastic driving experience.

My 2013 SRX has racked up 153,000 miles without any major issues and is still performing well. I've been using Mobile Annual synthetic oil and changing it every 20,000 miles, adding a quart every 5000 miles. The only problem I've encountered is the low beams, which have a well-known issue of being barely better than having no beams at all.

There are 1.72 million miles on the 4.6-liter engine, but it's no big deal, just a minor issue. It's in very good condition and I am the second owner.

Has anyone encountered any problems with the liftgate on the 2014 SRX not working as it should?

  • Kip J

Apart from the problem with the headlights, this vehicle has been fantastic. Even though our 2014 model has 120,000 miles on it, my wife, who rarely drives after dark, is unwilling to swap it for another car.

My 2010 Cadillac SRX is showing signs of sway bar and chain problems, which might mean it's reaching the end of its life. Despite that, it has been a great buy overall. With 194,000 miles on it, I'm aiming to push it to 200K despite the current issues.

With proper care, a well-maintained SRX can remain on the road for numerous years and accumulate a high mileage. However, once it surpasses 100,000 miles, it is highly recommended to proactively schedule a timing chain replacement due to a known issue from the factory. Failing to do so can result in sudden chain failure and potential engine damage. This proactive step is essential for preventive maintenance.

In 2008, there were 105,000 instances. Thumbs up!

I own a 2016 Cadillac SRX and I've driven it from Memphis, Tennessee, to San Diego, then from San Diego to Florida without experiencing any problems. The mileage is currently around 86,000.
