The Hyundai Genesis has the potential to exceed 200,000 miles with proper maintenance and service. The main reason cars stop running is often due to repair costs outweighing the car's value. By keeping up with routine maintenance, such as oil changes, you can extend the life of your vehicle by providing better engine and component protection. Scheduled maintenance also allows mechanics to inspect your car for any issues, making it easier and cheaper to address minor problems before they escalate into costly repairs that aren't worth fixing.

I drive a 2011 Genesis sedan with 220,000 miles on it. The only problem I have is with the timing chain tensioner.

I've got a 2009 3.8 v6 with 206,000 miles on it. It's a great and reliable ride that I enjoy. I make sure to use synthetic blend oil every 7,000 miles. I've had this car for 3 years now, and it had 125,000 miles on it when I first bought it.

I own a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 that is still going strong with over 110,000 miles on it. Surprisingly, all the features are functioning as they should, which is impressive for a vehicle almost a decade old. I had to get the driver's side lower leather seat cover replaced because I tore it and it was no longer comfortable to sit on. The Hyundai Genesis has definitely been my top car choice, packed with advanced technology that puts even pricier models from 2012-2015 to shame.

I've got a 2015 Genesis Coupe RSpec 3.8 with 55,000 miles on it. Let me tell you, driving this car is an absolute blast! It's got some serious acceleration, super responsive handling, and that exhaust sound really amps up the whole driving experience. However, there are a few downsides to consider. The 6-speed manual transmission can feel a bit clunky at times, especially when shifting between 3rd and 5th gears around 3000 rpms, and turning off the traction control can help with that. The tires have an offset that prevents rotation, cutting their lifespan in half. And when it comes to repairs and maintenance, be prepared for some hefty costs. She's a beauty, a thrill to drive, but might be too expensive to keep around for the long haul!

My 2009 Genesis with a V6 engine has reached 250,000 miles as of January 1, 2023! I replaced the alternator last year, as well as one brake caliper, but have kept up with general maintenance, including getting oil changes every 7,000 miles.

My 2013 R-spec sedan currently has around 98,000 miles on it. I have been diligent about changing the oil every 6-10k miles with fully synthetic, and I've only replaced the air filter a couple of times. I also changed the in-cabin air filter once. The car hasn't been washed in a year, and it was in a rear-end collision, so there has been some repair work done to the rear. In terms of the car's condition:

    1. The engine has had a slight ticking noise since I purchased it at 30,000 miles. While a neighbor thinks it's concerning, the car runs quietly and smoothly, so I believe it's normal.

    2. The washer fluid has never worked since I bought the car. I attempted to get it fixed under warranty, but Hyundai quoted a high price if it wasn't covered, so I didn't pursue it.

    3. Occasionally, the radio only plays static, and sound comes through Bluetooth instead. This issue is rare and hasn't occurred in about a year. I modified the audio system by disconnecting the rear subwoofer and adding a box and an amp, which has worked well without any blown speakers.

    4. Recently, I replaced the front brake pads at almost 99,000 miles. It was a straightforward job, though I didn't touch the rear brakes.

    5. Following the rear-end collision, the rear-view camera sometimes doesn't function properly or flickers, but I haven't attempted to address it.

    6. The front armrest upholstery is cracked, and though I had a cover for it that was removed after the collision repair, the rest of the seats are in good condition with no tears or discoloration.

    7. There haven't been any issues with the front seats' padding, despite occasional exposure without seat covers.

    8. Occasionally, the power windows seem hesitant, but they eventually work; however, the sunroof functions properly.

    9. Due to the collision, moisture occasionally enters the trunk, so I've taken steps to prevent mildew.

    10. I notice some minor clunking when turning at low speeds, but overall, the suspension seems fine, although the car can feel bumpy over larger obstacles. The AC and heater work well, and with regular maintenance, I believe it can easily reach 200,000 miles.

In 2010, a Hyundai Genesis with 229,600 miles underwent several maintenance tasks, including replacing the timing belt, brake pads, solenoid, tie rods, control arms, battery fuse box, and battery.

The 2011 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 with 249,000 miles is still on the road, though it experiences transmission issues in fourth gear.

I own a 2011 3.8 Genesis with 216,000 miles that runs great! The only problem is that my car was recently hit, damaging the front end and causing a transmission fluid leak from the radiator. I managed to fix the line without any major problems and topped off the fluid as best as I could. Unfortunately, I fear that my car may be nearing the end of its life. I plan to keep it going for as long as I can, though, as car prices are incredibly high in Florida.
