An average Kia Soul can typically reach up to 200,000 miles, provided that you properly maintain the vehicle. Following the recommended maintenance schedule is crucial in preventing minor issues from turning into major problems over time. By getting tune-ups annually, you can ensure that all necessary maintenance tasks are taken care of for you. Additionally, it is essential not to neglect the check engine light, as ignoring it could escalate a small issue into a costly repair or potential damage to the car.

I own a 2012 Kia Soul with nearly 250,000 miles on it, and it's still going strong without any major issues. All I've had to do is change the oil and replace the tires. No joke, that's pretty much all the maintenance it's needed. It still gets over 38 miles per gallon as well. If, by some chance, it eventually gives out on me, I'll absolutely be getting another Kia Soul!

I have a question: Have there been any recalls for the 2018 Soul vehicles? I am experiencing issues with wires getting shredded, almost like something has been chewing on them.

I recently traded in my 2010 Kia Soul that I bought in September 2009. It had around 270,000 kilometers on it (about 200,000 miles). I'm getting another Kia Soul because I really adore this vehicle.

I recently reached 210,000 miles on my vehicle, and the most substantial repairs I've had to make were related to the timing belt and some issues with the evaporation system. Additionally, I've had to replace the brakes, but that was largely due to my off-road driving habits which account for about 30% of my total driving time. Driving on dirt can really take a toll on both the brakes and the evap system.

From 2010 to 2011, the Kia Soul with the 2.0 engine is considered the top-of-the-line model. I currently own one with 290,000 miles on it. With proper maintenance, these cars can easily reach over 500,000 miles.

My 2018 KIA Soul, which had 60,094 miles on it, experienced engine failure. The repair estimates ranged from $6000 to $13,000. I purchased the car used when it had only 34,000 miles on it. Very frustrating situation!

My 2011 Kia Soul's engine died when it reached 328,000 miles.

In 2012, my Kia Soul's engine failed at 140,000 miles. The dealership concluded that it was due to a recall issue. They fully covered the cost of a new engine and provided a loaner car. Besides that, I only needed to replace the brakes.

I own a 2011 Kia Soul Plus, which I bought used in 2013 with 64,000 miles on it. Since then, I have driven it for 290,000 miles. Throughout the years, I have had to replace the timing belt and other belts three times, the alternator three times, the wheel bearings on the front passenger side once, the brake shoes once, the front pads about five times, the purge valve once, and the air cabin filter once. Of course, I have also had numerous oil changes. Despite the high mileage, I have enjoyed driving the car, and some people have even mistaken it for a new car. My goal is to reach at least 400,000 miles, possibly even 500,000.

I currently drive a 2015 Kia Soul with 57,000 miles on it and I haven't had any issues with it. I'm considering buying another one for my wife since I really love this car.

    I adore my Kia Soul.

I'm still driving my 2012 model with over 200,000 miles on it. Apart from changing tires and oil, I haven't needed to do any other maintenance. Originally intended as a temporary vehicle until I purchased my ideal car, I'm now completely satisfied with it.

My 2011 Soul! has racked up 170,000 miles with just the need for new tires and a battery so far! I don't even count the wiper blades because I switch between South Florida in the winter and Indiana in the summer!

I still own my 2011 Kia Soul! I discovered that they no longer produce the "!" model. However, I recently purchased a 2020 Sportage EX with the Moonroof package!!! I am really enjoying it as well!! I consider Kia to be the Honda of yesteryear! I will provide updates soon! By the way, I have had the Sportage for 8 months now and have driven 6300 miles, including a trip from Florida to Indiana. I absolutely love it. I never realized road noise in my Soul until I switched to this one! Both vehicles are truly amazing!!! 5 stars all the way.

Purchased a pre-owned 2015 Kia Soul in January 2022. It had 55,000 miles at the time, but the starter failed at 60,000 miles, costing $600 to repair. Additionally, the fuel efficiency seems to be decreasing, starting at around 34+ mpg on the highway and now struggling to reach 31 mpg. The salesman strongly recommended a $2500 warranty that only extends up to 115,000 miles. I haven't experienced any vehicle issues before hitting 120,000 miles, so I am concerned about the future expenses. I hope the car holds up and doesn't end up draining my wallet!

In 2010, the car's odometer read 244,000 miles and it's still running well.

I bought my 2010 Soul a few years back with 115,000 miles on it. It was previously a leased vehicle that wasn't well taken care of. I shelled out around $900 for maintenance, which included replacing the timing belt, other belts, and hoses, as well as the transmission filter and fluid. I also did a tune-up and replaced the other filters. Fast forward to now, it now has 212,000 miles on it. The engine runs smoothly without burning oil, and the transmission works well, especially after changing the fluid every 30,000 miles. The body is rust-free. I've only had to do brakes and tires on it. In the hopes of squeezing another 100,000 miles out of it, I recently spent another $1,000 on the same maintenance items I did at the 100,000-mile mark. Here's hoping this investment pays off!

I drive a 2010 vehicle with 260,000 kilometers on it, and it's still running great! I absolutely adore my soul4u - it's the best! ❤️

2018 Kia Soul Turbo - Remember to regularly change the oil, regardless of mileage, for optimal performance. Using quality oil like Amzoil keeps the engine running smoothly. With proper maintenance, including using high octane gas and driving on highways, my 135,000-mile Soul remains clean with no carbon buildup. Upgrading to Bilstein shocks has greatly improved the ride, making it a fun and agile driving experience. Replacing various mounts has further enhanced the handling, making it feel like a new car. I absolutely love my Kia Soul! RBB

My children have a 2018 Soul+ car that has traveled 396,000 miles.

  • Anthony

In 2015, I bought a Kia Soul Plus which has been a great car. The only maintenance I've done is regular oil changes, replacing the brake pads, flushing the radiator and thermostat as needed, and servicing the transmission. Even with 210,000 miles, it still runs like new, and the paint job remains in excellent condition.

  • Kim F

In 2014, I experienced a major engine failure with my Kia at 120,000 miles. Initially, Kia said it would be covered by warranty, but later, they reversed their decision and refused to cover the repairs. The engine consumes oil excessively, leading to a costly replacement of the engine and other parts totaling $9,000. I deeply regret purchasing this car.

  • Sharonda

The newer models don't have the same longevity as the original ones, which were beasts with a lifespan easily exceeding 250,000 miles.

  • Jeremie Mason

An engine explosion occurred, causing damage to an estimated 73,000 engines.

  • Geraldine crawford

A 2020 Kia Soul is expected to last for about 200,000 miles before reaching the end of its lifespan.
