I purchased my car in 2004, and it has been very useful to us, racking up around 288,000 miles. While it still runs well, it's not in brand-new condition anymore. I'm in the market for a new vehicle, and although I have a preference for the Cayenne, I am considering other options as well.

I purchased a 2004 Cayenne S back in 2011 as the fourth owner when it had 110,000 miles. Fast forward to today, and it now has 242,000 miles on it. This SUV has been my go-to ride every day and has never disappointed me. While the engine is still in top condition, I've been experiencing some transmission issues over the past few years, yet it hasn't stopped me from driving it. In 2015, we got a 2005 Cayenne S for my husband, which had 95,000 miles at the time. It currently has over 160,000 miles. I'm now exploring options for a newer model to replace the 2004 Cayenne, but I must say, I can't imagine driving any other vehicle.

My 2012 Cayenne Turbo really went downhill at 85,000 miles. I had problems with the Chassis System and a bunch of other issues that weren't covered by the warranty. I've been a loyal Porsche owner for a long time and this was my third Cayenne turbo, so I was pretty let down. I loved how the car handled on the road and I miss how versatile it was. It was the ideal addition to my collection of Porsche vehicles.

I have a 2004 Cayenne S with more than 190,000 miles/306,000 kilometers on it, and I reside in Ontario, Canada, where the weather is consistently harsh. Despite that, my SUV is still going strong. As a mechanic, I drive it hard, almost like it's been stolen, and although it does have some electrical issues, with proper research and creative problem-solving, you can tackle them yourself. The SUV is relatively straightforward to work on at home – changing the brakes can be done in under 15 minutes each, and oil changes are simple once you navigate through removing the plastic covers. Other than the electrical glitches, the SUV is quite reliable.

I purchased a 2005 Cayenne S back in 2015 when it had 63,000 miles on it. Fast forward to 2021, and it has 111,000 miles on it, but it's still running smoothly. I religiously change the engine oil every 5,000 miles and started doing a yearly transmission fluid flush once I reached 100,000 miles. Hands down, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned.

The 2014 Cayenne diesel turbo with 150,000 miles had its oil cooler and AdBlue pump replaced recently. It still drives beautifully, but I haven't come across any SUV that surpasses it currently, which is regrettable.
