If you're experiencing issues with the Mazda CX-9 heated seats not warming up, the problem may be due to the heating element not functioning properly. To address this, first, check the heater element to ensure it is intact and that the wires are in good condition. However, it is more likely that the issue lies with a faulty fuse, which can be found near the steering wheel. Locate the fuse box by examining the left side of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you'll find various fuses. Consult the diagram on the back of the panel or refer to the owner's manual to identify the specific fuse related to the heated seats. Remove the fuse by pulling it out; if the thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, you can reinsert the fuse. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, typically costing around $10 each.
