This incident likely stems from an internal failure, possibly the early deterioration of the clutch, something that should not have occurred at this stage. The car has been diligently maintained, with transmission fluid servicing done at 40,270 miles in June 2020. The notion that getting all car services exclusively from Honda would have resulted in a better outcome makes little sense, as the only non-dealer services I had were oil changes and tire replacements – unrelated to a defective transmission.
