Whenever a manufacturer introduces new technology, they are essentially introducing new possibilities for things to go wrong and require maintenance. Even though it may sound like I'm being old-fashioned (trust me, I'm not), the push-button start feature in the Jeep Cherokee has its share of problems. The most common issues include low battery in the key fob, a malfunctioning ignition button, or problems with the signal receiver such as faults or interference. The basic idea behind a push-button start is that the vehicle recognizes when your key fob is inside and allows you to start the engine by pressing the ignition button. If either the fob or the receiver fails to establish communication, it can make starting your Cherokee more challenging, and these are the most frequent points of failure.

The main reason why the push-to-start feature isn't working on the Jeep Cherokee is usually due to a low battery in the key fob.
